Formula offers carbon neutral printed matter
Formula has certificate to the "GA Climate Calculator", which is the Graphics Industry Employers' Associations official climate calculation tool used to calculate the CO2-emission caused by a single printed matter (the so called Carbon Footprint).
The calculations are performed in accordance with the internationally recognized Green House Gas Protocol.
The calculation of the Carbon Footprint of the printed matter takes the following into consideration:
- Production and transport of paper
- The use of heat at Formula
- Formula's energy purchase
- Production of print plates
- Production of colours and lacquer
- Production of packing material
- Production of IPA alcohol and cleanser
- The transport of Formula's employees
- Transport to end-user
At Formula you can carbon neutralize your printed matter by purchasing and deleting CO2-quotas.
The colophon text on the printed matter shows that it has been carbon neutralized through a certified supplier. It contains a certification number which is your documentation that Formula's calculations are correct.
